Subbuteo Club

The history of our club

The Wamme Subbuteo Club, founded in 2016 by Jean Grosdent in the province of Luxembourg, faced challenging beginnings. Initially composed solely of Grosdent family members and their friends, the club had to overcome the obscurity surrounding Subbuteo in the region at that time. However, thanks to Jean Grosdent's tireless efforts and the return of former Subbuteo enthusiasts, the club slowly but surely grew.

In 2017, Wamme SC participated in its first interclubs, where despite their low ranking, a spirit of progress was already palpable. Demonstrations in schools and continuous efforts began to bear fruit. Finally, at the consolation tournament of the Major de Frameries in 2024, the club achieved its first major success, clinching a victory that galvanized its members.

Subsequent seasons saw the Wamme Subbuteo Club reach new heights. The 2023-2024 interclubs season was a memorable year, with the club finishing 5th, securing a historic qualification for the Europa League. This achievement solidified their position and proved that their ascent was not a fluke but the result of hard work and determination.

Today, as the Wamme Subbuteo Club looks confidently towards the future, their story continues to unfold, promising exciting new chapters in the history of Subbuteo in Ardennes.
